Founded in 2013 by Bobby Lee, The City of Play is a practice, rooted in Architecture and Urban design, focused on the needs and rights of children and young people in our built environment.

The City of Play is a not-for-profit creative practice founded in Glasgow, Scotland (United Kingdom) by Bobby Lee.
Bobby's professional background is in Architecture and Urban Design and their practice focuses on the needs and rights of children and young people in our built environment.
The City of play was founded with the knowledge that play is vital in the healthy development of children, young people and society as a whole, and the belief that a healthy, well-functioning city must be both play-full and playful. Play-Full in the sense that it provides an array of opportunities and opportunities for all and Playful in the sense that our public spaces are inviting challenging and creatively engaging.
Engagement, Design, Creating and Play are the key components that combine to form the core of our work. These components have been translated into the icons (above) which identify our brand and define our approach to every one of our projects.
